As an owner, it is your responsibility to make sure that your captained booking has a captain ready for the departure time.
For Peer-to-Peer bookings:
For peer-to-peer bookings, captains must be paid through the Boatsetter platform and must be selected from the captain network provided by Boatsetter. Please make sure your captain preferences are set correctly, and disqualify any captains you do not want operating your boat. To learn more about adding captains to your qualified list, please click here.
The renter will select a captain from the list. If no captains are available, please reach out to our support team for assistance at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note, there is no guarantee that Boatsetter Support will be able to secure a captain.
For CHAP bookings:
Owners must provide a list of captains for the renter to select from. This happens off the Boatsetter platform and after the booking has been approved.
Captain fees must be collected off the Boatsetter platform, either in cash, a mobile payment platform, or a payment processor. It is the owner’s responsibility to inform the renter of this additional charge at the time of booking. This fee must be clearly stated through messages and/or on the boat listing page for your boat.
