Security deposit

For all bookings, a security deposit is held on your card to cover any incidental damage or lost items. Please complete the pre/post-booking inspection form to detail any damages that took place during the booking.

For bookings accepted less than 48 hours prior to the booking start time, the security deposit hold will be authorized in conjunction with the total booking payment.

Boats under GEICO BoatUS insurance policy

A minimum $500 security deposit hold (not a charge) will be placed on your credit card 48 hours before the booking starts to cover any incidental damage that may occur during the rental. This hold is released 48 hours after the booking is complete, if no claims are made. 

Renters are liable up to $1,000 in damages, including their initial security deposit. If damage is reported, you will be charged the deposit and the difference. All damage deposits are held until the investigation of damage is complete. Any funds unused from the deposit or the deductible to cover damages will be refunded upon completion of the investigation.

The security deposit amount for the boat you are renting will be outlined during the check-out process.
