Completing the verification process is an important step in [booking a boat](https://support.boatsetter.com/en_us/new-to-boatsetter-BkQbUJj2s) through Boatsetter. Verifying your identity allows us to adequately charge and/or refund money to your bank account. Your identity is verified based on the information you entered for your birthdate, cell phone number, and SSN. If you are not verified automatically or are uncomfortable entering your SSN, you will be required to go through our manual verification process.

To prevent fraudulent charges and be manually verified, we may ask that you complete some additional identity checks.
