Boatsetter uses the following payment schedule:

*   You are charged the full booking amount when the trip is [approved](https://support.boatsetter.com/en_us/booking-states-rJrWUJs3o). 
*   The [security deposit](https://support.boatsetter.com/hc/en-us/articles/205348914-Security-deposit) is placed on a temporary hold 48 hours prior to the booking and released 48 hours after the trip, if no damage is reported. It may take 10+ business days for your statement to reflect the deposit release. 

Payments cannot be split between cards. All [payments](https://support.boatsetter.com/en_us/updating-your-payment-method-r1obUyj2o) will be processed to the primary card on file for your account.
