## Listing fees

All [commercial](https://support.boatsetter.com/en_us/using-commercial-insurance-S1QNLJohs) vessels located in the United States and US Territories will be charged an 11.50% listing fee of the [boat price](https://support.boatsetter.com/en_us/how-to-set-your-baseline-boat-price-HyTz8ksho). All vessels located outside of the United States will be charged a 15% listing fee.

Vessels insured by [Buoy](https://support.boatsetter.com/en_us/buoy-peer-to-peer-insurance-HJJP3Pobll) will be charged a 13.50% - 20% listing fee. We provide a range because Boatsetter pays based on performance. While the majority of peer-to-peer vessels will be charged a 13.50% listing fee, this fee can increase if the owner's [response rate](https://support.boatsetter.com/en_us/response-rate-B1hf8kini) drops and other owner performance metrics start to decline. Top owners who keep their [calendars](https://support.boatsetter.com/en_us/how-to-update-your-calendar-B1CM81s3j) up to date, quickly respond to renter messages, and utilize features like [Instant Book](https://support.boatsetter.com/en_us/instant-book-SysfLko2j) take home more money.

## **Insurance fees**

Commercial vessels are not charged an insurance fee on Boatsetter.

If your vessel is covered under the [Buoy Peer-to-Peer Insurance Policy](https://support.boatsetter.com/en_us/buoy-peer-to-peer-insurance-HJJP3Pobll), an insurance fee will be deducted from your earnings, in addition to Boatsetter's listing fee. The insurance fee is algorithmically calculated with each booking based on each vessel's unique features and specifications, booking duration, location, and more. Because of this, we cannot provide an exact number as to what a vessel's insurance cost will be. However, it's estimated that owners insured by Buoy can expect to take home 65-85% of the boat price (including listing and insurance fees). The insurance fee covers the cost of insurance for each booking. Boatsetter does not control any portion of the insurance fees or premium rates. You can find out more information about Buoy's Peer-to-Peer Insurance Policy [here](https://www.buoy.rent/national-coverage).
