As an owner, you can choose how you want to set your fuel policy. There are two policies to choose from:

* **Renter pays**: The renter can either refuel the vessel before the end of the rental, or you can request reimbursement within 48 hours of the trip’s conclusion via the [fuel reimbursement tool](https://support.boatsetter.com/hc/en-us/articles/213102143-Fuel-reimbursement). Once approved, you will be reimbursed the fuel cost minus any [processing fees](https://support.boatsetter.com/en_us/additional-fees-and-fines-ByEE8yohs).
* **Owner pays**: You include the fuel fee in the boat price and the renter pays no additional fuel cost.

_Business tip:_ Fuel payments may be written off as a business expense.
